I bought a C Kayak loading device and use it to load my outback on top of my Suzuki Grand Vitara. It is designed for a sea kayak but it does work for the outback. It saves me from tipping my outback upside down to load it. It also protects the car from scratches as the yak doesn't slide on the duco...

bought 3 rod guides to repair a Butterworth surf rod, and a tube of bacon lube - oops - I mean PTFE lube to rebuild an Alvey 650A...

Steel framed with 12mm ply top covered in marine carpet. I folded the drawers out of 1.6mm flat steel sheet to maximise strength and simplify construction, then just put ply facias on them covered in the same carpet. The drawer system follows the contours of the rear seat and the drawers are 90 deg...
