Re: i bought a kingfisher and is awesome

Great choice for a first yak. Loved my Kingy. Gave it to my son when I bought the PA and he loves it too.

I bought Mav's dads outfit when he gave up yakking and after meeting Harvey I have to say that he still looks like he could run marathons. I'm 57 and I can only pray I'm still going at his age.

Re: Push For Licence Buyback Gipps Lakes

Easily the most contentious issue in fishing and if there is a solution I'm buggered if I know what it is. Personally I'd like to see commercial fishing on enclosed waters stopped, but I admit to selfish motives. Those who follow Lee Raynor on FB would have seen the the aggression that came about fo...

Re: Life!

Grats on the addition mate.

I'm looking at heading back to the States for a month or so in late August. Going to visit a few friends and then spend a week or two on the Alabama River chasing whatever I can find.

G'day Jason. I've just recently moved to Grantville, so no doubt we'll eventually bump into each other on the water at some stage.

Re: Hi everyone

Launching from the ramp at Olivers Hill is also easy mate. Parking is free if you park to the right side of the ramp. Lots of pinkies out from the end of Frankston pier at the moment too.

You might want to look into the AquaYak Ranger too. It gets good reviews and for the money your willing to spend you'd get be with the lot. Same goes for the Wavedane Kingfisher.

Re: First yak.

Think you'd find the Exteme and Game Fisher far to short for you to be comfortable in mate. The Kingy would be fine in most rivers (sans Rapids as laneends has said) and when you do gain the confidence it will be great in the bays. If there is a drawback with the Kingy, it's easily accessible storag...

Re: STOLEN hobie revo

This is becoming an epidemic. Like most of you I'm on a bunch of yak fishing FB pages too and this is seriously becoming a major issue. The same for a lot of the boat owner pages I'm on. Thinking it's time VicPol, NSWPS and QldPS formed some sort of joint task force to work on the stolen yak and boa...
