Polystyrene transducer mount?

G'day all.. Just a quick question.. Would a small block of polystyrene be ok to mount the transducer in the hull of my yak? Thanks in advance :up:

I fish pretty light so it's fine for me but you could cut it at the half way mark and put a hinge or something so it can fold up

You can get ones similar to this in tackle shops but who wants to pay an arm and a leg for one when they're so easy to make.. All up it cost me about $30 for the pipe, end cap and the sticker.. It probably isn't really practical for land based fisho's but in a boat and especially a kayak, it'll be a...
