Well done. It looks neat. What if you shortened the loops so that the hook attached just an inch or two above the kayak. I recon you'd get another 300mm height.

Filleting, skinning and deboning flathead
I assume that most of you will be au fait with this. I knew how to fillet, skin and debone by cutting a 'v', but this explained how to debone by ripping really well. Hope it helps someone.
