Btw, consider a red light combo with white light... I find using the red doesnt stuff your vision as much when sitting in the dark. Over to white when you hear a boat coming and red at other times. Less bugs as well.

What's going on with Hobie's colour selections these days? I like it. Especially the new gov. issue blue and sea grass green. Never seen seagrass that looks anything like that! Perhaps 'calf-shit green' would me more accurate (if you've ever worked on a dairy farm, you'll know exactly what I mean) ...

Unfortunately many modern cars (mine inc...

Re: decisions decisions
Love the outback but the wider ass on the compass suits a 42lt livewell and powerpole better.
Anything else, outback kicks compass and PA14
Lay down rod storage on the PA14 is good but not necessarily needed for comps unless you are a bit of a rod whore

Re: decisions decisions
I would say outback for general use but the compass is better suited if budget is tighter or for an entry level craft in the comps like the hobie daiwa bream series. If you just want an excellent back of all trades then the outback is the winner. Better in following seas as well as a better seat and...
