Looks like a carpet shark to me, did it have a strong pungent smell? In NZ they call them carpet sharks.

I'm 6ft and 100kgs and fit nicely into the Scott Lovig waterproof trousers, the Lovigs have quite a few fit options and are a little cheaper than the Kokatats

Good little instructional video, I worked on Tuna longlining boats in NZ targeting the Giant Northern Bluefin, the spiking and gutting technique in the video is how we would prepare fish for the Japanese market. The fish in the pic was a 280 kg's gutted.

I certainly think a small air horn is an excellent idea. When a powerboat is racing towards you with the wind behind them and the driver not paying attention (as happened to me recently), it doesn't matter how much you wave your arms around and yell at them, they won't hear or see you.
