So i went out recently and realised that i have no clue to what I am doing. probably have 2 rods out for the most part. 1 jig and i plastic. to be honest, im not exactly sure of "how" to fish from the yak so im not sure myself anymore

does anyone have a recommendation for installing a rod holder? a bit scared to drill a hole into the yak What type of fishing do you normally do? Soft plastics, baits?? Cheaterparts can make up some rod holders to fit a prowler without drilling... I love my setup but it's pretty custom for bait fis...

the snowboard jacket is really light and not really bulky. its wind resistant and water proof and have these underarm zippers that i can open to let air in. ill just give it a shot and if it works great. if it doesnt than well, ill get something else i think ill try tomorrow from elwood boat ramp in...

right got the kayak today, was very interesting to have a big yak on a small car. so when i was having a look, there were total 6 holes 2 on the back, another 2 on where the seat is and 2 at the front. the ones under the seat have these plastic fill in things so im assuming i also need to get stoppe...

wow thanks guys for all the reply. clothing should be fine as i have clothes that i used for snowboarding. i think ill first try going to brighton pier and have a bit of a paddle, get wet a bit and see if its enough clothing and also try reentering. ill probably hold of fishing for a bit until i see...
