Re: Hello - new and looking to getting into Kayak fishing

Agree with above regarding a longer yak in the bay. You could try hunting down one of these, they are becoming harder to find though as they are on clearance.

Re: Indoor phone reception

It's a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact D5803 Your handset could well be part of the issue. Not all phones are created equal when it comes to signal strength. A quick google of sony z3 compact reception issues' will get you a lot of hits, mostly unresolved by the looks of things. When we went from Telstra to...

Re: DIY trolley - attaching wheels

Ta - I had though about sleeving the axles but wasn't sure of the best approach, will give that some more thought. I'm not worried if the wheels don't last, I just like the challenge of trying to make do with what I have, will likely upgrade to trolley wheels & threaded rod down the track.

Re: DIY trolley - attaching wheels

you may find those wheels get stuck in the sand, also the extended wheel spacing might add to much stress to your assembly and axle, maybe cut it back to the "T" pieces Very observant, you are. The PVC sections for the scupper holes and the ones attached to the end caps are deliberately l...

DIY trolley - attaching wheels

HI All Embarking on my first (hopefully of many) DIY project to put together a scupper trolley. Have a decent frame together, just trying to figure out the best way to attach the wheels I have. Yeah, I know I could get some threaded rod and a couple of trolley wheels and be done with it but I want t...

Angel Shark was my first thought also. Have never caught one, but was on a boat when one was caught a few years ago, took us a while to ID it at the time. Unusual catch given they tend to lie around semi submerged on the floor during the day.

Re: DIY Beach Wheels (on the cheap)

Ta. Im not anticipating much traversing over sand at this stage & not much in the way of soft sand. Would be towing 30kg tops i’d say. Will build with the pram wheels and go from there, can always mock up a test mount for the wheels off my golf buggy to try it. FWIW, this is the type of wheel im...

Re: DIY Beach Wheels (on the cheap)

Has anyone tried golf buggy wheels on sand? I picked up some stroller wheels this morning to start my cart build but looking at being able to swap those wheels out for Golf buggy wheels as they are substantially wider. Dont really want to lug my golf clubs and cart along the sand at the beach for te...
