Re: Car keys and water
Here's where the "old" is better than the "new". My yak carrying car is a simple keyed ignition and no automatic alarm or immobiliser... Short of dropping my car keys into a grated manhole or over the side of the yak in WP, I don't have to worry about the car.

I had a good laugh and then realised I shouldn't.... That's a surefire way of ensuring it happens to me next on a bucketlist fish...

If that person likes the way the good reel rolls and gives line freely, or feels the fishes power through a properly designed and built rod....going to cheap and cruddy gear is simply letting go of a part of why you fish. Agreed.. I used to fi...

I'm surprised no one mentioned squid. I don't think you'll catch much else on the yamashitas.

Re: Indian Curry Fish feat. Aust Salmon
You can add a few vegetables to this curry and the vegetables I suggest adding are: 1. Okra 2. String beans (looks a bit like french beans but a bit more wrinkled) 3. 1 tomato cut into wedges 4. Lebanese eggplant (like normal eggplant but thinner and longer like a carrot) 5. Big green chilly Forgot ...

Indian Curry Fish feat. Aust Salmon

You could use any other fish for this curry, but this curry is best with oily strong fish like salmon or snotty-n...

Re: Bought Something new wanna share it? Post it here
Yesterday I bought what I suppose is a shooting stick. (adjustable monopod gun rest) $99. My new air rifle now it's mated to a scope is heavy! The scope is heavy because it has to be to stand the shock of the airgun firing, it's brutal! That means that being a little old bloke the whole rig is too ...

Love this show....now thats a Kingy http://bigangryfish.co.nz/tv-show/season-2/sn2-ep13-the-dream-comes-true.html haven't targeted them yet but it will be in the bay. No rip trips for me or offshore trips. Just don't have the time to do a long trip. That'll limit my chances of encountering one but ...

Re: Bought Something new wanna share it? Post it here
Was previously going to use a Stradic 2500 reel for kingies but pretty much everyone I spoke to had a bit of a laugh when I mentioned it... something about taking a butter knife to a gunfight. So when the opportunity came to upsize, I went for it... OK, maybe more now like a samurai sword to a mob o...
