Re: VB Lure
My 5 year old daughter outfished me 8 salmon to 1 at Inverloch a few months back. We were trolling the lure behind the boat. I only had one in my tackle box and she picked it out. At the start I was happy for her to catch all the salmon but by the end I really had to try hard using a different lure ...

Re: not just dangerous on the water
I have the same trade bar as yours and I usually wind the strap down over the top bar and hook directly on to the vertical bar. I also use a locking bike cable thru the scupper hole and around the top bar in case the strap breaks, just a bit more insurance against the yak spearing off into another ...

Re: Shave for a cure - Worlds Greatest Shave
I'm on board, as a sponsor.
How could I not support the most generous man on the Daiwa/Hobie Kayak series.
I have only fished two comps and all the fish I have caught in these comps have been because of guidance from Matt, someone I never knew beforehand.
Hope you reach your goal.
Thanks Jason.

Re: Try It Before You Buy It
I can recommend these guys, they helped me decide between the two  http://rodbendingsworld.com/hobie-kayaks X2 Dave at rodbendings will take you on a demo any day that the works. He let me demo the PA 12 twice and than delivered the new kayak to my house (I only live 10 minutes down the road).

Re: A chat with the water police.
Its some peoples attitudes. I don't know how many times in the anchored stinker other boats pass within metres when they have half the bay to go around you. I now figure if I can hit them casting a 6oz sinker as they fly by that I'm going to give it a red hot go. Others have said if these twits see ...

Re: OH BOY !!! Lessons to be learnt from this video
Well done Rhino for filming, posting and advising these guys. Surely everyone owes it to themselves, their loved ones and the people who will have to rescue/recover them to take all the safety precautions necessary. When you buy a new car the salesman does not tell you to belt up and make sure not t...

Re: Yak Bling PA12
Nice job Bruce, I've done something similar with the battery setup. nice switches and meter... if you don't mind me asking, where did you find those ones? also the casing you've mounted it in suits it very well :)... All the switches, meter & enclosures came from ebay. The timer from Flowrite. ...

Re: Hobie Pro Angler 12 Review
Great review Darcy, I to have upgraded from an outback to the PA 12 and agree with everything you have said. The PA 12 is an awesome fishing platform. I have been out in the PA 12 in conditions that were far from perfect, while the outback would handle the conditions it would require attention to th...

Re: Bait Tank Pump Timer
Just did some testing. Ran the Hobie livewell on 12v and yes it does pump faster. After 1 minute of run time it increases the level in the livewell about 25mm. I have fitted a non return valve to the pickup so the water stays in the livewell while its off. Once my timer arrives the livewell should w...
