I've Joined the Revolution!

Post by Reeling »

So I picked up my first ever kayak yesterday - 2015 Revo 13.

Image

Super stoked with my purchase. It came up for sale a bit before I was planning on committing as my parents arrive from the UK for a 5wk trip so unlikely to get on the water until the leave at end of March. But it was my preferred model, colour, length and had the Vantage seat...Comes with a few extras which I can add too in the interim.

First trip will just be a safety run and familiarising myself with the stability and practice turning/re-entry

Hey Hamish,

Thanks, it certainly is Leap's old one.

all reviews I read were pointing to the fact that new seat was the best way to go :)

Excellent

You will enjoy that. Dont be afraid to play with the seat settings to suit different conditions etc. That is where the advantage comes in, not just being dry bum and comfortable

Great yak, congratulations. Just an observation, does the photo depict your normal transport set up or do you use a tie down/safety rope on the bow to the front of the car to ensure the beast doesn't lift and pull the roof racks off your car in a wind gust or a semi going the other way? Maybe I am too cautious but that's how I do it. Once again, great yak, looks good.
