Quick cheap easy fix for annoying hobie rudder line leaks

Sick of that water that gets in your hull when sitting at anchor in choppy conditions, or in following seas? Well here is a quick fix for you.
Closed cell foam, I used offcuts from some concrete expansion foam as it is denser than noodles so easier to cut small pieces
Cut small sections that just cover the cable openings. Cut some slits down from the top, then silicone in place. These will seal the gaps and wipe the cable as it passes through. Cable still passes through easy without sticking. If they wear out or fall off, stick another bit on. I have had these now on two yaks and it seems quite durable. I first tried rubber but cable was grabbing it and pulling it loose.
