Hi Robert,

Thanks for the heads up. I had noticed in my research that the latest models have the vantage seat. By all accounts it looks and reviews are showing that the snow seat is more comfortable. I suppose the big question, how uncomfortable is the original seat.

I have to be honest I was thinking about the new comfy seat ;) but you are right about the toss up between getting a 2nd hand yak with a lot of included extras like holders, GPS, etc vs the new design and new comfy/drier seat

The new seat makes a huge differance over a 5 or 6 hour trip. Not so much on a 2 or 3 hour session.

I have both in our fleet - a sport with the old and an outback with vantage. Done my time in both.

The vantage seat is also drier than the old seat as well.

Welcome and good luck.
Live long, fish hard and hopefully catch something.

Thanks Brett for the advice on the seats. Reconfirms what I've read so far.

Thanks for the welcome too :wave1:

The range of adjustments on a vantage seat is a god send. Took me a lot of on water time to fully realize and utilize this function fully.
