Home style flathead fillets

Caught anything lately? Post up how you cooked it here and if it was a success. Doesn't only have to be fish....

The flour first thing is to help the egg stick to the fish(or chicken). I do fish/chicken in egg and breadcrumbs regularly, it can work ok without the flour but it always holds together better if you flour, egg then breadcrumb(or go without the breadcrumb)

My oldest bloke lives in Mornington and he reckons the Flatty tails are $59 a kilo there!

Bloody ridiculous price and he can only afford a few. We used to get them for $8 a kilo at the L/Entrance Co op.

Once the export market found them the prices went sky high! We cant afford to buy our own produce these days...well some of us can't!

I told him it would be cheaper to buy scallops.
