Only problem is it's hard to take pictures when dinner is ready and your hungry!

That depends on the context of whether it's before preparation for cooking which is after we catch it, or after we catch it and after we prepare it but before we eat it, if he wants a photo after we eat it then its defiantly after we dump it.
