Berkley flicker minnow...Flathead candy.

Not to be confused with the Berkley flicker shad, the flicker minnow has a slightly narrower more streamlined profile. I first picked up a few of these basically as an order filler from Cabelas in the States. They have a strong action and the 7 cm model weighs 1/4 oz and dives to about 3.5 to 4.5 metres. They'll spin out if you retrieve or troll too fast but come into their own bouncing bottom where they slaughter flatties. Super sticky trebles which can be a pain to de-hook on an angry flathead.

I've been using these for a while but finally found an Aus seller on ebay so decided to post this review. Usually a dollar or 2 more exy than the flicker shad. Pictured with the Flicker Shad and Sebile koolie 76 mm for comparison. Minnow in purple.

I brought a bunch of these back with me from the US, haven't tried them yet.

Killer on the King Salmon and Brown trout as well in the US when they moved into the harbor and marina ;) .

They're a great looking lure and a nice update from the Frenzy's I've had great results on over the years. (although the sebile looks cool too - thought I had one somewhere  )

I wanted some in larger sizes than 7cm for snapper. They come in a smaller size but also 9cm and 11cm models. Plus there is a larger range of cool looking colours in some of the bigger sizes. So I ordered 5 from amazon yesterday:

1 x 7cm in Slick Blue Alewife
1 x 9cm in Black Silver
1 x 9cm in Slick Blue Alewife
1 x 9cm in Slick Alewife
1 x 11cm in Slick Mouse

Total order including delivery just before Christmas was $50.56AU.
