Thought Id try something not unlike the fishing trips section for sailing.
With the festive season fast approaching and many with some time off work a few may like to get together and enjoy some sailing with company. I intend to post my proposed sailing outings after xmas and if anyone would like to join in you are welcome to come along. If others do the same we may be able to enhance the enjoyment we derive from our Islands.
Launch locations in my locallity include,
Walkerville,
Reef Island
Cleeland Bight
Inverloch
Corner Inlet
Shallow Inlet
Post your next sailing trip here. invite others to join you and share the fun with other owners.
Merry Xmas Rayso.

Re: Sailng Trips
Steve, A look at google maps shows that as a 50 km trip in straight lines, with inhospitable rocky coast till past Cape Liptrap then surf beach all the way to Inverloch. The way the surf rolls along that part of coastline you would have difficulty in beaching without misshap should you need to. In favorable winds by my guestimates it would be a minimum of 6 hours. Not at trip I would rush into without carefull planning.

Re: Sailng Trips
maybe a trip around Walkerville bay inlet area is a better option to start on. Not sure how far from walkerville south to Wilsons prom side but beautiful views.

Planning on launching at Reef Island WPB Friday morning at about 10.30. No set plans, just going for a sail and feed some fish. Will be listening in on Ch 72 VHF. If anyone would like to come along your most welcome.

Any sailing trips being planned?
On Mornington peninsula for the week would like some company for a sail. Thinking bay or off flinders if the weather permits.
