Sorrento to the Heads - Sailing Video added.

Post by maverick »

I am thinking of sailing down to the heads on Saturday from Sorrento and jigging for Kings - any AI'ers interested?

No Kings, just some sailing video for those that are interested.

Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.

You may see us passing through the Heads on a charter boat with Dive Victoria.
We will be heading to HMAS Canberra off Barwon Heads for a dive.

Descended and landed on the bottom at 28.3 m near the bow of the Canberra.
Followed the hull up to the deck then proceeded to the comms towers.
A bit of surge pushed us around near some of the openings but was a good dive.
Didn't see a lot of fish & no Kings to send your way.
Plenty of kelp is starting to grow on the hull.
Ended up only a 15 minute dive.
Used my 9 litre faber smaller tank I bought to use on the yak.
Need to reduce my air consumption or take a bigger tank on these charter dives.
