Rock fishing a remote island

This one captures a lot of what it is about fishing that hooks us. Start at about 7 minutes to skip the prelude. If you only wish to see fishing, be prepared to fast forward some of the camping scenes.

That looks like nirvana for rock fishermen though they were awfully short rods for people trying to land big fish off the rocks!

Good drone footage too!

After tasting Coral Trout a couple of times in Cairns earlier this year it's moved to my top spot as far as eating fish goes. I know a bloke that spent the last 30 years of his life fishing out of dories from a mother ship up and down the reef handlining coral trout. I felt really sorry for him (not).

Top of my list too dig  my uncle lived up in Yorkeys knob (close to cairns) and he would always bring down fresh coral trout his mates had caught when he visited. A beautiful looking and tasting fish!
