Just made my flag/light pole. Grabbed a 5m led strip($15) N wrap on a orange (electric tupe ($4)) protected by a clear PVC tube($10) and silicone both ends for water proof. And finally the safety flag ($2). Except from the led I got from other source. All other parts are from bunnings.

G'day Folks,
how are we all ?
after looking at the photo,
i am going to get a flag, either monday/tuesday.i am no of shore paddler, but i was out yesterday, in the Grammer School Lagoon, playing round (3rd trip out for me)
But being a complete and utter newbie to the Yak world, where is the best positioning of the flag ???
i can see the easy of putting it right at the back of the yak, and seems to be the place, but does it get in the way of casting ???
would it be better to place it right behind the seat ??

Thanks
Andree

Hi Guys
In Auckland they have made hi viz flags mandatory as well as reflective tape on paddle and craft.
Food for thought.

I couldnt think of anything witty or funny to say and didnt really want to post my PB fish from the yak cause all I manage to get are toadies so I thought I'd take the time to fill in the blank space and say pretty much absolutely nothing and annoy every-one who has taken the time to read this.

I do have retro-reflective tape on my paddles but not on my yak yet. I even have some on my hi-vis flag!
