As you get older you have to continually assess your capabilties and modify if necessary. In your early 60's ability will vary widely and age isnt necessarily a factor, though it might have been.

Not so much a problem of an ageing body but perhaps of a mind not admitting it?

Yes Rob, that is why I gave away skiing at 35 when my knees gave out after much abuse and fear of the knife.
Took up other activities such as more fly fishing which can involve some very long strolls and riding my pushy but I pass on the 152km round trip to work.
Who was the runner that wore gumboots from Sydney to Melbourne, Cliff????

The chick was probably what killed him...
