Stealth mod and review.

Last week I finally got to take the new yak out for a test paddle off Miller's. Starting at Miller's squid spot and then to the pier around Apex and back. I wasnt to concerned about catching as the launch was at gentlemen's hours. The joy of a glass yak was felt instanly as I was on the water within 10 minutes. The ability to launch with minimal gear at short notice is what I required in this Yak
. As soon as I was on the water I wanted to get a feel for the stability and abilities. This was achieved by making the yak rock and moving about freely I felt extremely comfortable the Stealth responds quickly to hip movements due to the seat position. The rear and centre hatches can be accessed easily
(in great sea conditions ). To paddle the acceleration was superb even though the supalite is a heavier and slower model out of the range, I was comfortable with traveling around 5.7km maxed out at 8.9km my hobie can max out at 10.2km. the seating position is more forward then a hobie and after a few hours I found my back was a little sore. I do have back issues and this won't be an issue as I correct and strengthen my paddle strokes. I was able to cover 8km with ease and love the basic deck design. I cant see my self doing big off shore trips just yet like some of the glass owners. The Supalite will work well for short trips smashing through the surf or nights chasing squid and snapper this summer after work, I will use it for quick trips and baitfishing at anchor or trolling. My favourite features and not so fav are as follows. PROS- The ability to launch quickly and be on the water without carting around trolleys, drives and extra gear. The centre hatches with rod storage. I miss this from my PA, the AI is great for the big days on the water. I will also be able to have some fun in the surf this summer as I plan to head south west. The CONS- Handsfree fishing can't be beat when it comes to certain fishing. Worries about damaged glass, I am very precious with the yak and don't want battle scars apart from Kraken blood.

I have added a few photos of the mods such as anchor trolley and flag mount.
Next will be a Sounder and front ram mounts for my down rigger and rod holders. I want to keep it as minimal as possible.
My fav mod was some bungee across the hatches, works great to keep your rods up and to clip dry bags to so the dont end up at the bow.

Thx for reading would love to hear more from the glass community. As posted there has been a few new owners lately.
