Can't believe I didn't think of this earlier, It's so simple and mega yummy.
Will need:
Some thai fish cake mix (see my post on them)
square wonton wrappers.
Box of fresh fish stock.
Miso soup (you can buy the paste and then make it yourself)
Spring onions, finely sliced.
Put a teaspoonish of fish cake mix in the middle of a wonton wrapper.
Wet the edges of the wrapper and fold in half over the mix, sealing one edge onto the other.
Seal the other two edges and squeeze together at the top of the dumpling. ( really, just make them what ever shape you want. I went with sharkfin)
Put on a tray dusted with corn flour.
Heat the fish stock with some water until simmering.
place the wantons into stock in batches to cook. I found 5 minutes to be good. Make sure they don't stick to the bottom.
Make the miso soup according to instructions, use a bit of the wonton cooking broth.
Place wantons in bowls and sprinkle with spring onion. Pour over the fishy miso soup and thats it.
My Miso was a bit sweet for my liking, so I'd suggest you taste before pouring and add soy or some Thai fish sauce SPARINGLY!!!! Fish sauce is strong stuff
