Off topic but I have just bought a new drone and want to do some coastal shots and would like to include some fishing yaks if I can, I can go out from Thursday onwards, unfortunately can't use my yak as a result of three accidents over the past six months which has rendered me out of commission for a while, buggered back from a fall and buggered knee from a silly accident three weeks ago, the third was the loss of three teeth from a falling tree branch that should never have happened.
If no one objects I am happy to provide a DVD if they would like it when I finish.
Can also putn up a link when done.
Not for profit just my own interest and to send to relatives overseas instead of Xmas cards.
Anyone going out around LL this weekend?

Hi Iain, I'm considering a launch from JJ on Thursday, heading over to Palmers Channel for a high tide gummy hunt. Could confirm tomorrow evening if that's any help.

It's not catching but it gets me some sympathy at home.
I wanted to get some footage of Warneet going over the yachts but CASA rules won't let me do this as it is too close to Tooradin airport.
What time Thursday, I have a service on my tractor that day but they should be finished by 11.00 and JJ is only about 15 minutes away, as the drone is new and so am I, I have some reservations about flying too far over water as it is a bit too expensive to sink.

Re: Anyone going out around LL this weekend?
Mavic Pro Fly More package, I wanted 4K and this delivers very nicely, a lot more compact than the Phantom but delivers the same result.
?Downside is that 4K chews up a lot of memory but I am going to put in a bluray burner so I can create 25gb or 50gb dual layer discs as opposed to 4.7gb DVD.
A recent 5 minute 4K used 2.6gb of memory but clarity is brilliant, any sharper it would cut you.
The Mavic folds up small enough to fit in a jacket pocket.
Haggled at JB and got it for $1940.00.

Not guilty, shot some footage at powlett river then dropped into JJ, saw a black wagon with trailer and a yellow yak a long way out, had an MRI appointment so didn't stop and could see the thunder approaching.
There was a yak trailer at powlett but didn't see a yak unless it was way upstream past the bridge.
