I looked at the travel time comparison between the ferry and road on maps and got a similar time to you, i figure that it doesn't take into account tat you arrive at the ferry when its about to leave ;) driving to melb that time in the morning the freeway is a parking lot from werribee to millers rd.

Only 334km direct route through the heads and around Cape Otway, and through some pretty productive tuna waters too. Hmmm :lol:
