I thought I'd put up some photos detailing the Lowrance Ready system for those of you who are interested in it.
This is the scupper that the transducer bolts into
Scupper cover plate removed with downscan transducer bolted in
This is the wiring scupper above the transducer
The scupper comes out under the middle of the seat ( it's under the strap on the crossbar)
Here is the finished product with wiring going into the hull through the supplied wire caps
After this you simply bring the wires through the hull and do the same with the wire cap on whichever side of the yak you want you sounder on and jobs done

That certainly makes the job much easier. Hobie should make all their yaks with that system, particularly the fishing orientated ones. It's very neat and I like the way the transducer is completely protected and out of the way.
There's only a fine distinction between fly fishing and standing on the bank looking like an idiot.

It is a fairly large hole under there so a wheel transducer may fit.Knogg wrote:Does this system cater to speed thingy aswell??
