A few years ago I was building custom trailers and made anything from 6 x 4 , tradies , single , tandems ,tri axles right though to fifth wheelers
I'm out of a factory these days but could help out with kayak trailers either made from scatch or modify what you have
I still have MIG ,TIG and stick welders -- able to also weld Stainless , Aluminium ,steel or cast Iron
I also have an 8 foot sheet metal folder which does up to 1.6 thickness
