Hi all,
This is a Wavedance Capri tandem for now, that I picked up for a good price.
by the time I finish with it will be a solo sailing fishing kayak, I've already cut out the rear storage well and sealed up the scupper tubes that used to be there, have a look how that was done here if you like
turn your sound on have a listen.
plans include cutting out the whole rear seating position and moving it forward about a meter, what's left of the front seating position will be storage and built in water tank. while the top deck is off Ill be cutting a hole in the bottom for a recessed dagger board well that will allow the dagger board to fold up inside the hull, this will be operated by a cable that passes through a tube to the deck.
A fold up rudder operated by cable will also be fitted along with a mast mounted on a sliding track so that it slides forward as it folds down, I already have a sail for it and a dagger board to be cut down, I might fit amas if it needs them and a sliding seat too.
Ambitious plans I know however if it works it will be a very nice sailing yak

Re: my new kayak
The hull is a lot more streamlined than the kona and I think it will make an awesome big solo kayak with a lot of storage room
