Been meaning to try and fit a flood flight onto my PA14 for a while now, and finally got around to it today. Here is what I have come up with, it is still work in progress but i think it should do the job.
At this stage, I will be running it from a separate battery to that of the fish finder, it is little extra weight, but I'm hoping to compensate that with a new skipper seat which I will be installing the coming weekend. Once I get the seat, I will look at the alternatives and options on how to best install and fit everything.

Re: Flood Light Fitting
Mick,
It looks very similar to the one I have on my PA, except I think mine is 21W. At 27 W it will give off heaps of light and a good idea to have a separate battery as that's what I do with mine. Also put it on a switch as you won't want it on all the time, it's too bright for general navigation and est to save the battery for when you have a fish on, are rigging or just want to let boats know you're there.
I have mine quite high above the seat and behind a bit. I find that I cast a fair bit of shadow so would prefer to have it more forward, ie directly above the bait board. For night filming its OK but could be improved. With my PA I find the front hatch is very bright and tends to make the video over-expose leaving the action still in the dark. With the light on I can see down into the water really well but find the camera doesn't pick it up unless there's something like a fish to reflect off. Camera's pointing to the rear are an issue too as I need to keep the light out of the view, which is hard with a wide angle camera.
Your light looks like its further back than mine. See how you go but you may be better off moving it more forward.
Shane.

Hi shane
Switch has also been fitted. Just wonder how you mounted your flood light so it sits right behind you ?
No doubt this will give me better visibility but also make me more visible.

Hi Rob
Remote based lighting sounds great, with the lights and go pro you may need a single universal remote to manage everything , too much high tech for me

Re: Flood Light Fitting
Looks good however I would try and get some LEDs on the rear as someone coming from behind will not get the light as it is shielded, my light was like this until I was told the same.
Its a fair current draw on it, good idea to run it on a separate circuit.
I was out fishing with Mav of Mornington and he commented that once I turned away from him it was hard to judge where I was as there was no backward light spread.
Don't want a boat coming up on you fast in that situation.
