My Hobie Outback

Post by bingo »

After a couple of years testing the waters with my malibu mini x, i stumbled upon a cheap hobie outback on ebay...
I wasn't in the market for buying one, although have had a search listed on both gumtree and ebay for the past 12 months just incase.

Well last week an add appeared on ebay and long story short, i picked up a 2007 Hobie outback which is in excellent condition...for the pricely sum of $1400....which i believe to be an absolute bargain.
Barely any marks on the kayak and the person i bought it form was extremly helpful, and if you read this frorum, thank you again Ruth for all your help.

It came with standard fins on the mirage drive, hobie seat, hobie paddle and hobie trolley with inflatable wheels.

Other than that it is standard, nothing drilled or added to the hull, ready to set up and position things wherever i like.

I currently have a Garmin echo 300c on the Malibu Mini x which i will swap over to the Outback and after i take it for a few peddles i'll decide where to mount some extra rod holders.

I cant wait to get her out on the the bay and clock up a few k's and if anyone sees a blue outback peddleing around mount martha or mornington dont be affraid to come and say hi.

The only pic i have of her so far...on the trip home

Cheers guys...I've bumped into you before Mav half way down the goat track around 18 months ago and you gave me plenty of helpful hints and tips...cheers again for your help
I missed most of the summer weather because I changed cars and didn't have any roof racks on the new car.

Looking forward to taking it for my maiden peddle :)
