Re: Fraser Island Dreams
Some terrific vision there 'Yakass'', & I look forward to the completed 'Vid'. By the way, it appears that you have got a 'Nitro' or two in your collection, what was the model of Nitro, & reel used when hooking the 'beakie'?
Cheers,

Re: Fraser Island Dreams
Thanks guys, glad you're enjoying the trailer. Pog, all my rods are Nitros. I use a Godzilla, Nitro and a Magnum Butt at Fraser. That marlin was caught on the Viper, running 20lb Sufix 842 advanced superline, 80lb leader tied with an albright knot, which I rarely use and mentioned that I don't trust as I tied it. It sure showed me! Rod went great, as always - that thing is 7 years old and has accounted for many good fish.
I had 2 lines out - a live bait and a squidgy. The fish swam up to the live bait, swallowed it casually, then chased down my plastic and tried to stun it. I saw that happen, so I let the lure free spool and moments later the fish chomped it, I gave a tug and it was on. The full video will explain the details.
