Where is the crack developing Shane.
I have the same pa as yours and I wouldn't mind giving it a once over.

Right hand side tackle well in the floor. The cracks have been at the point that the moulding allows water to drain back into the rest of the floor. The first one opened up wide on the water so water would pour down into the hull. Current is just the beginnings that I'm monitoring.

Could be related to the fact that it lives permanently on the roof racks ready to go.

I was liking the blue one but would the colour be an issue when fishing? too visible to fish etc?

dont think colour makes any difference you are just a silhouette against the sky, Colour is more about visible to boats and your own personal taste. Except for red which is faster.

I thought they fixed that problem as a lot of the early PA14s did that...

On the weight difference between the outback and the PA I would also consider where you are likely to fish and the extra effort required to pull a heavier yak over soft sand, up hills etc especially if you have a bit of a dodgy back. I have fished a few times around Phillip Island with a mate that had a PA including a couple of times off Ventnor and the ritual has been that I have dragged my kayak (revo) up the hill and then come down to help with his. His PA I should say did take on a fair bit of water that added to the weight. If you fish the Ventnor area a fair bit you can also consider getting a small cheap tinny and keeping it behind the dunes and then row out. I had one there for years and had allot of fun in it before it was stolen last year.
