Just picked up a S/H Adventure 2006, its an oldie but its near pristine condition barely a scratch on it. Partly pimped and comes with sail kit. but no Amas. big rudder and turbo fins. Scaffold like pvc rocket launcher on the back
Just need a break in the weather to take it for a maiden trip to see how it feels, and put some pics up so you can throw some ideas at me.
Anything about these older models I need to know? Its had the front of the drive well reinforced, no signs of cracking

Well done Keith. You'll be racking up some serious k's now.
Your hull would probably be similar vintage to Merv's (ex Elm) with 8th v1 drive- minus the amas etc of course.

Took it for it 's first spin at Altona today in nice calm conditions. Millers to Apex to Point Cook and back. zig zagging and doing doughnuts to get a feel for it
Set up as bought without any changes yet.
Need to work out sounder set up
Very lively once you get used to it rolling into turns. Gave it a good rocking and tried side sitting and turning around, shuffled forward to test access to front hatch (doable). Was quite surprised it turns well, thought it would have been less maneuverable.
phone navionics clocked it at 9km/h, need to build up those barely used leg muscles a bit and should manage to keep up a good brisk pace.
It really is in good nick and even the drive barely looks used.
Next test in some lumpier conditions

They are a great craft Keith and will handle rough conditions better than most yaks with the added bonus of being a bit of a speed machine you will just have to add some fish now ,injoy

It is proving a lot easier to manhandle than I thought it would. It is actually easier to lift and carry by the handle with bottom against my thigh than the quests are. Probably because it is so shallow and the balance point for handles is good. can even carry overhead, though not recommended.
