That's the long weekend. Likely to work for me as there are no other plans yet but is it going to be really busy down that way?

Re: Scallop Trip
Ah awesome. I was spewin when I missed the last one, especially when I saw the haul.
I've no scuba gear though, so it'd be a snorkel and sling fish for me!

Re: Scallop Trip
It won't be that busy and we will get an relatively early start, 0800- 0900 ish. So parking and getting there shouldn't be a problem.
If we can head back to haTTers for a garlic butter scallop BBQ afterwards it will be a brilliant day.

Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.

Re: Scallop Trip
March 6
Port Phillip Heads (not sure if this is true time or have to add an hour for daylight savings, data from Xtides)
High tide 4.21am at 1.52m
Low tide 10.44am at 0.07m
I predict free diving for scallops out in the shallower waters off Tyrone will not be very good (to deep approx 5.5m + strong current) until around midday for low slack 4m.
So unless you are on scuba an early start will not be suitable for a scallop dive out wide.

When we say it's BIG RED SEASON, we don't mean a big red blood stain on the bay,
GET YOUR LIGHTS ON + YOUR PFD'S.
Happy Sailing Fishing and keep blowing bubbles.

stand by for a new date, we will consult the tide charts and pick a date that suits the tides.

Widsa, Adrian (Mtfisho & Hatters if we can get them in the water) will be on snorkel Maverick and myself both scuba but I doubt I will dive, Fonda and Matt are also divers and may be interested if PM'd.thegr8estman wrote:who's snorkeling.
