I'm new to Hobies and kayak fishing, just bought 2 Outbacks for the wife and myself and hope to get into fishing and general playing around. We have had sea kayaks and other boats so lookinf forward to trying something different. Just be good now if the wind would slow down for a bit.

Welcome aboard and don't go out this weekend or you may get run over, will wave to you as we pass during the Marley Point Saturday and Sunday although you will probably hear us in the straits during the night.
How are the Loch Sport mozzies this year?

Mozzies haven't been much of a problem, some earlier on in the summer but then again its been to windy for anything to fly.

Depends on your weapon of choice really.

Welcome aboard Terry - a couple of fine yaks for when the wind isn't blowing.

Just think if you harness mossie-power to run your yak - Loch Sport would the the yakking capital of the world! :-)

In all seriousness though, it's a great spot - perfect for so many types of fishing.

When Phillip Island gets too busy (and it's heading that way already) Loch Sport is on my list of relocation-spots...

Cheers,

Mike.

Its certainly going ahead now with lots of new houses being built and I believe a pharmacy is about to open, and the mossies have been good this year. Must be all the new blood thats coming into town is not as tasty so they are re-locating further along the coast.
