Damn, I was going to shadow your moves through the snapper season and see how you went.

As for the Goat Track, i'm still trying to build a strong enough cast that can handle it and hence I've stayed away since that one and only time I waved to you as you left for WPB and I took my red Native down the track. My home made cart unfortunately did not survive the trek down, and I had to do a rebuild. As it stands, i'm in the process of rebuilding again for the second time. Maybe I should just cut my losses and get a C Tug.

Praying for a speedy recovery.

Hi Pete, sorry to hear about the dodgy valve, Cabrini has a great team so you're in good hands... they can rebuild you...

The mitral valve inside the heart has S#!^ itself, causing blood to flow back into the chamber it came from. This in turns causes issues with the chamber expanding to the point which will cause worse issues. Instead of sounding like a regular heart beat, mine now sounds like a washing machine.

They have to put me on by-pass so they can open up the heart, fix the valve and then fix the heart. At least it proves I have a heart.

Hopefully back up to full speed pretty quickly.
Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.

Cheers lads, but take note, drink 3 litres of water a day, even more if you are out on the yak. It is amazing what the body can do if you give it enough water.

Good Luck Mav,

Dad had his valve replaced late last year making it his second open heart (5 bypasses) previously.
He had to get the ribs opened up both times and its a bit hit, glad they dont have to do that to you mate.
It is amazing how good they are at this kind of thing these days, I am sure you will be back on your feet in no time and able to catch the back half of the snapper season mate.
They really are hero's our heart surgeons and so great at fixing us up.

All the best mate and I look forward to seeing you smashing the k's out after your back on the water.
Dad had a dodgy valve and said he felt a million dollars after it was fixed, you should look forward to the same mate.
Here's to a smooth procedure and faster recovery. :pint:

I work in theatre at Cabrini, you're in great hands with those guys.
You'll be out on the water before you know it
