Mt Martha yacht club now have a live camera (good res) and small weather station, use this in combination with the Mornington yacht club weather wall and it should make the decision to fish the area easier.

Re: WEATHER
Good idea on the weather page Pete .
That's a great picture coming from MMYC . More relevant than the Mornington one for where I am likely to launch .

Re: WEATHER STATIONS
I see this weather stations page as a positive step towards a safer environment for yakkers. It will be so much easier to look up conditions for your intended target area. Much quicker and easier than chasing various web sites for info therefore people are more likely to use it. Full marks.

Re: WEATHER STATIONS
I have been watching the Mt Martha yatch club site since Mav posted the info.
I have noted the wind direction to be well off trak compared to all other sites (BOM, Windy, Fishranger etc)
eg 6:58pm Fri 21 Sept......Mt Martha YC =SE, however all others state either WSW or SW.
Not sure what is happening there, but I definitely would need confirmation of accuracy before I relied on it.
Can't see why Fishranger couldn't serve the purpose of us fishos.
Has wind, tides, air pressure, moon, sun and tidal flow.
What more do we need other than that?
If MMYC has it all, ok, but is it accurate?
I am still wondering.

Re: WEATHER STATIONS
I just use MMYC for the video - nothing else. I can see the actual waves. Thursday arvo there was a bit of wind around and I was not sure of the conditions - watched the live video and subsequently enjoyed a pleasant evening on the water. I use the Mornington yacht club information as the weather history is a good indicator of what is coming and when.

That's what I thought would be a good option, but I am still confused as to why the direction is askew?
Since it is new, and the yatchies would want to know where the wind is coming from.................?

Re: WEATHER STATIONS
Maverick,
You have left out the one weather website specifically designed for fishermen - Fish Ranger. It has the best data available, shows real time average speed and gust speed overlaid on the forecast, air pressure forecasts, Tidal Streams and slack water and now 10 day forecasts.
http://www.fishranger.com.au
And its an Australian site made in Melbourne.
