Well, It's now about 21:45. Have just finished cleaning up after cooking tea. I leave for work at about 07:00 and don't get home before 18:30. My wife (only young) had a stroke about 4 months ago. Should never have happened. Is now back home, recovering and has started to go to work 2 days a week. Gets extremely tired, so even doing the washing takes a lot out of her. I don't mind. That's why I got a kayak. Perhaps I can learn to relax.

That just cuts me up! Strokes are supposed to happen to old farts like me that have heaped abuse on their bodies all their lives, not to young folks! That really sucks!
Good on you for taking up the slack and looking after her mate. If the shoe was on the other foot she would be doing the same for you, I guess.
Hope you can get some "stress relief" over the long weekend.
