Still not sure. Was planning to go.

Dad's been crook - diagnosed with mesothelioma which really sucks. We're planning a big trip before he gets too unwell to travel so he's coming down to get his Rodeo sorted out (meaning I install & build stuff like dual battery, storage unit in the back etc) for the trip & I've got to do some work on the Tvan for them. I need to do some prep for that.

I've also just had a week away fishing & shooting in the Emerg Services Games (left on wedding anniversary :shifty: ) so I'm cleaning up the big boat from that today.

Weather doesn't look good. Hope for the comps sake they've buggered it up.

It's not far from here so I might just get up early & come up & fish just one day. If I'm all prep'd for Dad's job & I come up Saturday first thing & decide to stay I'm sure I'll find somewhere to chuck the swag.

Despite having just had a week away the better half has still given me a leave pass for the weekend. Be a shame to waste it.

Hope I get there, but no guarantees. There's always next year.

I'm packed and ready to hit the road at 7.00am, there will be a convoy of three Pa's. The weather report is saying 21 deg Friday, 19 with some light rain saturday, 18 on sunday with showers forming.
I don't care if its snowing.

Was there much caught?

What was the water like, still murky?

Much flood damage??

Nosey bugger aren't I??

Mick
There's only a fine distinction between fly fishing and standing on the bank looking like an idiot.

Was there much caught? (er um check out the top two's weigh in  esp 1st place   )

What was the water like, still murky? (not bad considering the rain)

Much flood damage?? (lots of floating timber)

Nosey bugger aren't I?? (no not really)

Hi all,
I had an awesome two days fishing, as i've never bothered the scorers in the one and only ABT event that i competed in about 18mths ago, to get 6 in the well and get a full bag two days running was icing on the cake, i went up there hoping that if i get to weigh in 1 fish i'll be stoked so 6 is like 8-)
Anyway got there Friday arvo and set out on my pre fish, found a few good spots but couldn't pull a fish, i went into Saturday confident that i might be able to actually get a fish, i tried a few spots and got my first in the well, another one followed pretty quick, i moved and tried a few other area's and went back to my "spot" and filled my bag, whilst i was measuring the 3 rd legal fish it flapped out of my hand and landed on my sounder and bounced straight into the drink  arrrgggghhhhh anyway forgot about it and managed my 3rd fish (which went bigger anyway), i got smoked by a nice fish that pinged my leader, but i was stoked to weigh in 3 legals which went 1.3kg.
Sunday i went up and tried an area i was sussing out on Saturday and my mate managed a bream 3rd cast  i got zilch and moved upstream and tried a few area's, the wind was howling and made drifting hard, it was 10.30am and i hadn't landed a fish, i decided to try a spot i found out of the wind a bit, i used the stake out pole and got 3 fish in 45mins, i reckon i caught at least 10 fish Sunday but couldn't get the bigger one i needed, i did find one but it pulled the hooks whilst trying to wrap me around a log but i was happy anyway to fill my bag with 1.32kg.
The good guys had some absolute horses and i have never seen so many BIG blue nose bream in one spot AWESOME .
Anyway was a top weekend and i'm hopeing to do a few more rounds if work and family life align.
Cheers Bilby.
