Re: New toy for post Stage 4

Once a kayak is a trolley job a few extra kgs make no difference, especially if you have sand wheels and you have an alternative loading method to the old snatch and jerk, which is probably safer if its no longer a temptation. I hope so! I have sand wheels - tick! Car is an X5, roof racks have Hobi...

Re: New toy for post Stage 4

Sounds like you take too much S#!^ with you if you felt cramped in a revo 13 :P hope you dont find the opposite with the PA - its too much of a heavy hassle to take out for short trips ;) We always need an excuse to replace our toys with new ones - I'm no exception I don't take that much stuff actu...

Re: New toy for post Stage 4

I applaud your optimism and hope you'll ruin the new look with fish gunk soon. Yes, exactly... Without getting into a political rant I feel that I may be very optimistic and the first snapper on the new PA14 may be from the 2021 season. But what else can I do.... Plus I only had to pay a dep...

New toy for post Stage 4

So before Stage 4 restrictions I was getting back into kayak fishing with my old Revo 13.. Was liking the convenience of the kayak but was starting to feel very squished in for anything but short trips in the Revs. So today I put a deposit down on a PA14 - the clearout ex tournament ones at SLH. See...

Re: What's so special about Grantville for gummies?

Thank you Cheater and Laneends I've recently gotten back into the boat fishing - have a boat at Yaringa as of start of the year - so depending on the tides if its over a high its either a long drive over to Grantville or chancing the arm trying to learn to improve the catch rate at the top end chann...

What's so special about Grantville for gummies?

Hi All I've had a lot of luck following the tips on this forum for fishing the Grantville flats on a high tide, particularly with prawn baits. I've tried the same on the flats near the middle top end (Tooradin, Irish Jacks, etc..) with less success. Still catching gummies but Waaaaaay less. What's s...

Polycraft 480 or Barcrusher 490WR

Hi All I know I’m probably on the wrong forum for this question  but I was hoping somebody here has had time in both of these boats and could offer some advice as to pros / cons of each. Particularly how they ride. I’m looking to get back into a stinker for a while to compliment the Hobie Than...

Re: Before sunrise - clothes and lights?

Thanks everybody, appreciate the replies / help. I didn't realise lights were as simple as wrapping some LED flexible strip around a pipe and connecting a battery to it! That's really helpful. I'll round up the stuff on the weekend and give it a go - seems like the sort of thing which even I may be ...

Before sunrise - clothes and lights?

Hi All I've seen quite a few reports on here of people heading out 4.30 - 5.30am on calm days (i.e. this morning) for a pre-work fish during the week. I wouldn't mind trying this (i.e. 5am - 7am or so) - but want to make sure (a) I'm warm, and (b) I visible. On the clothes front, can I ask what peop...

Re: Gday!!

Thanks Dave and Shane much appreciated

The online store which had them on sale had three colours so I ended up with NMT, BRA and PU.

Will keep an eye out for NDS, but unfortunately didn't get any of these.

Will try them on 10lb braid and 10lb leader when they arrive hopefully not too light...?
