Re: Christmas Eve cookup.
Hard to beat fresh seafood for Christmas Larry. We did the same thing and had the traditional extended family Christmas eve party with an assortment of seafoods  I'm supposed to be heading down to Land Lang today for 5 nights in my favourite caravan park, but may hold off until tomorrow morning ...

Re: Relatively Green
Hi there,
As Maverick says, there are indeed a growing number of active kayakers at the Mitcham Angling Club (3 of us at present). There are also a great group of very knowledgeable booties there, and I have learnt heaps in the past few years from them

Thanks for that post Tim,
I always suffer from cold feet in winter, even when the rest of me is overheating. Will definitely check them out

Nice one Larry, At least you had the decency to point the derriere away from her. My partner is French, and is used to a bed fart or two. I'm sure she'd get a giggle out of your misfortune  Unfortunately I'm also doing Covid isolation this week (my second dose in 5 months), and was very disappo...

Great little video there Pete, it's amazing how versatile that drone is.
And I think it's just a matter of time before I join the Bixby club. Just not sure I'd want it on the rudder

Re: New to kayaks what winter clothing do you recommend
Some great advice there Gary, from some very experienced yakkers. Personally, I would start with a long sleeved rash vest, followed by a full set of Adrenaline thermals. On top of that I wear a long sleeved Adrenalin Thermo X Skin (very thin neoprene that keeps the wind & rain out) and a pair of...
