Cheers Shane, I will see if I can pick up a replacement today/tomorrow, if not I've got a few options. Will drop you an SMS if I get stuck.

Enjoy the summer break, I'll be down at Lorne chasing flatties :)

Lost Hobie Paddle

Don't suppose anyone found a hobie 2 piece paddle at Altona a couple of weeks ago? In my rush to clean the fish I think I either left it next to the car, or more likely lost it at the bottom of the Millers ramp. Other possible option is losing it on the freeway if I forgot to take it off the side of...

Re: Stainless Steel Fasteners Screws Washers Nuts

Bunnings have a lot of 316 stainless bolts etc. If they don't uave them then CH Smith or Whitworths usually do. Failing that online. I've picked up a secondhand PA14, so I have a decent amount of fitout that I need to do all over again. I'd prefer not to support bunnings if at all possible. So goin...

Re: Which kayak to buy?

Depending how patient you are, you might be able to get an Outback for close to that money. There was a 2015 Outback (with the new seat) on Gumtree a month ago for $2000, he dropped the price to $1800 and it sold pretty quickly. This time of year they will sell quickly though, so have a model in min...

Re: Bought Something new wanna share it? Post it here

Good buy Mike. I agree it's a big step up from the siena and much of the improvement should be in the internals. I find the siena reels fail relatively quickly with the oscilation gear one of the first to go. My Sienna's are still going, but then again mine would see in a year the amount of ac...

Re: VHF radio info for the tuna/kingy chasers

I carry my VHF when I'm heading offshore, or I'm out on my own. I don't have a license, but am fairly well-versed with the etiquette of using a VHF. Occasionally I use it to check-in with fellow fishos, but the main reason is for an emergency situation. P Mike. I've got mine too, haven't used it at...
