Livebaiting basics Qs
Hi, I'm looking to start livebaiting sometimes in the future for snapper, and possible kingies as well. I have a few basic questions. When I'm livebaiting for snapper, i think the rig i should be using is the standard westernport running sinker rig. However, I have questions about the sinker. Should...

Re: Advice on box trailer for the outback
Thanks Erik, and everyone for the contribution to this thread.
I forgot to update but I actually bought a jet ski trailer just a couple of months ago. It is registered and has worked for me.
Feel free to continue with the thread as needed.

Re: Whiting fishing technique
really you will do much better on whiting as the water warms from early snapper season on - fishing this time of the year can be hard work thanks for the tip ^^^ I don't have much experience catching whitings. But from the videos I've seen, the whitings are often at the back of the LJ school. I gue...

Re: Gentle Annie Channel (Western Port)
I would also appreciate info on this area. I've always wanted to explore the upper parts of westernport but its a bit too scary knowing the strong currents and a long distance from launch. Hope one day I could fish there.

Re: Advice on box trailer for the outback
I have actually been suggested an extender but for a different issue. My car's boot opens sideways and so it doesnt clear the coupling once it has been articulated. I'm willing to compromise taking my 1 piece rod from the front door hehe. Ye I'm just not to sure of using an extender and the implicat...

Re: Advice on box trailer for the outback
You are better off building your trailer to avoid having to use the class O exemption imho because class O have other restrictions that are less favorable like not travelling under darkness for example. So while it might suit in some situations, it won't work in snapper season and you'll also have ...

Re: Advice on box trailer for the outback
@cheaters Thank you for the offer. I do see you often around the coronet bay area in the distance, maybe I'll chase you up one day. Waiting for the restriction to expire before I make a decision on what I want to do, meanwhile I'm searching on fb market everyday. @shane I really appreciate the photo...

Re: Advice on box trailer for the outback
Thanks for the info Mick. Yeah I did consider to extending the drawbar 1 meter, which is what I'd prefer. I emailed one of the trailer store near me for a quote on extending an existing trailer. They said it would cost $600 which I just laughed. I know that a newly build trailer the extenions would ...

Advice on box trailer for the outback
Hi, At the moment I am looking into possibly using a trailer to transport my kayak - I think I'm in this for the long haul hehe. I am thinking of getting a normal box trailer and then place 2 bars across using U-bolts to secure it in place on the side gunnel of the trailer. Looking for some advices ...

Re: 6x4 extension for PA
..use it as a general purpose trailer by taking the PVC yak rails off. @Shane if you could, I'd love to see a photo of how you rigged your 'PVC yak rails' to the trailer. I'm thinking of getting a trailer and in the process of doing research. It's nice to get confirmation of what I've read on the o...
