Re: Extra Storage for a Double Sea Kayak
Hello all, With a 2 night trip away soon and wanting to use our sea kayak, storage space was identified as possibly a little on the tight side. I decided to use a small amount of space under the deck for some small items freeing up space in the storage hatches. Murray  I had a quick look ...

Re: Hello - new and looking to getting into Kayak fishing
First off you are going to want a good kayak. One that is designed for just fishing. Also proactive casting from your kayak a lot. It's a bit different but you'll get used to it. You should read this and this and it'll help you out a lot. Well I did look at both pages John and well apart from them ...

Re: Coronet Bay
Fished Coronet Bay on Saturday and Monday. A little bit of wind about, but a great place to launch and retrieve the kayaks. We didn’t go too far out (as far as the channel marker) and picked up a couple of whiting and fought the battle with hungry leather jackets! Overall the leather jackets won th...

Re: Coronet Bay
Both Coronet bay and Reef Island are all tide launches - I normally launch at the ramp at Coronet bay at the end of Cutty sark rd around to the left at the end - even with the tide right out it's easy to wheel a kayak down to the water Reef Island launch at the end of Bluff rd Bass is the same all t...

Re: Any suggestions for Fishing from Cowes at Phillip Island
G’day, I’m pretty new to kayaking and have been out a couple of times in Port Phillip Bay for a paddle and fish. My partner and I have a Seabird Expedition and Discovery kayak, with one rod holder each. It’s certainly a challenge when we get a fish, but we manage to get them in. We’re heading to Co...

Re: How Do You Lose A Shark Or Big Pelargic?
The other method that works on mackerel is dead bait rigs. The video below is how to make my favourite rig, but again I can show you how to do these. Evenings tend to ne group rigging sessions anyway. -aYThhzhWyQ Just as a matter of interest the last trip north for me I picked up my first long tail...
