Re: How are you supposed to move a 5m + Ski?

Ye you'll enjoy it being lighter, thats for sure. What you may notice though is the extra 1.5m length catches the wind a bit when you are lifting it onto the roof. Ye i think the focus wagon is on boardline. The PF525 is balanced pretty well on my roof rack when the bow is about level with the front...

Re: How are you supposed to move a 5m + Ski?

Firstly good luck roof topping a 525 onto an Everest! I've had a PF525 on a Focus and now a Focus wagon without a problem. You'll just have to find where the kayak sits fore/aft between the roof bars. The front end of the everest is practically the same as the Ranger so the roof bar locations are pr...

Re: Hobie kayak rescue step

If its not permanently attached then I would argue the hassle of trying to locate and afix to the kayak while in the water (considering the water temp and conditions) may be more effort than its worth. I'd just keep practicing periodically in varying conditions if you think you may ned to rely on so...

Re: Black Marlin South West Rocks 2021 - The Video

No matter how many times I see a marlin alongside a kayak, my brain is telling me, "that can't be right"

What an incredible achievement Paul. Well done!

Re: A stranger in the night

Well, with so much of the past 12months spent in lockdown and off the water I have had plenty of time to think. And almost as much time to contemplate spending a little money. I have been weighing up a couple of different sail kits on the market to help me travel a bit further during a session - nam...

The way the outback is going, you'll need a crane to lift it

Re: setting up lowrance to battery

Glad you got it sorted.

I'm a little confused by why it wouldnt work without a Fuse. All the fuse is doing is ensuring protection of the unit against fluctuations in current that may damage the unit.

I ran my Lowrance Hook2 unit without a fuse for the best part of 2yrs

Re: New toy for post Stage 4

Sounds like you take too much S#!^ with you if you felt cramped in a revo 13 :P hope you dont find the opposite with the PA - its too much of a heavy hassle to take out for short trips ;) We always need an excuse to replace our toys with new ones - I'm no exception I don't take that much stuff actu...
