Brought my first fishing yak and took it for its first run today. Been fishing for a long time and have done a fair bit of paddling, but was nerve racking combining the two. Just had a quick hour out from Frankston at the Olivers Hill end. Managed a 38cm flattie and a dozen pinkies, all undersized....

How's Tassie or a Murray Marathon looking.....bet they've both crossed ya mind more than once! :thumbsup: both take to much time off work - done a couple of smaller paddle challenges - Gippsland paddle challenge ( metung to lakes ) twice just the smaller 13 km event and the paddle leg of Adventuret...

yes its close to both bays but one bay has lovely clear water and nice sandy beaches and the other one has fish

I have been looking into kayaks like the kayaks2fish gen10 mkII but a lot of the reviews reckon they are a bit small (3m) for going out on westernport and I 3m kayak will be a bit hard to manoeuvre and paddle.
