As many as I can fit on, which is about half of what Shane takes. Hey, I usually only take 6. What about those telescopic one in your pockets? :evilgrin: Yeah 6 is my usual amount, The P.A has storage for 6 :thumbsup: although I'm sure if I could I would probably fit some in the hull :o :lol:

Thanks Eric, a great reminder that anything is possible at any time, I used to watch a lot of Timmy turtles video and hadn't seen this before. My PLB is attached to my PFD and I have an EPIRB attached to my large tackle box that lives on my yak when in the water.

Thanks for all the replys. Much appreciated. For me, safety will be paramount. I plan on putting in plenty of practice before I even concider putting a rod in. I'm keeping my eyes open for a second hand Hobie in the 4m range. I'm 6'3 and 100+kgs, so I think the larger models would also suit me bett...

Before all those extra adds on youtube I was subscribed to some of the Australian and a Canadian prospectors that also fossic in the rivers that really looked like fun but cold in winter most panned/sleuthed but the river guys snorkeled, some of the places they visited where stunning.
