Re: How Do You Lose A Shark Or Big Pelargic?
Imagin filleting upto the butthole removing the backbone with tail so you have half the fish whole and half just the 2 side fillets then the 2 flaps create the movement to excite the intended target. Is this how you see it? Yeah you are on the right track but it is filleted right to the shoulder so...

Re: How Do You Lose A Shark Or Big Pelargic?
I used to have a lot of success in Townsville on the Spaniards using split tail mullet. I don't have a video but I can try and describe it. 1. Fillet a suitable sized mullet leaving the fillets attached at the shoulders/gills. If you can run the knife though the tail fin even better, 2. Break out th...

Pete I really think you might be over thinking the whole thing....No matter how much gear you take, no matter what outfits you include there will be a time when you just have not got the right one ready to go at the right time. All you can do is take what you can take and hope it's not today. And if...

Re: Mmmm, almost good enough to eat
I just love the chase baits every one I see I feel I should buy it because it just has to catch fish. I have tried 3 different colours of their squid and a mullet pattern and to date I managed to lose a couple of candles off a squid to a couta....SIGH....I so want them to be good.

Re: Storing a yak for an extended period.
Considering you will be away for a number of years..... Wouldn't be best in financial point of viewto sell the AI now, and buy another one when return? Consider the fact that while you be away, it will depreciates in value.... And in storage, risk of damage due to long term storage, or worse stolen...

From time to time I try give some tips & occasionally someone has a go at me but generally I’m so over it. It’s like trying to shovel manure up a steep hill Yep Been there done that. These days I limit myself to pointing the enquirer to here and hope that at least some of them will see the light.

Re: Storing a yak for an extended period.
I would store it flat on its bottom and fully supported along its whole length, covered with no weight on it. If it gets really hot in the container any unsupported sections could droop to the point of damage. I'd also look into improving the ventilation in the container. Don't let this happen: htt...
