Re: Upgrading AI Rod Storage

I saw Shanes at NSC and will do similar. My biggest problem is how to get the water out of the rod holders and mast step without tipping everything out .....needs to have a drain or something....know how I would do it but 6 to 8 mm thru hulls are like hens teeth.

Re: The Royal Commission - what it means to home loan owners

Brokers are in the game, they know whats going on day to day, why wouldn't you at least get Free advice, before one of your biggest investments in your life? ;) Just so long as they are not FAKE brokers ie; bank employees not comparing a suitable depth of available products from a variety of sources.

Re: The Royal Commission - what it means to home loan owners

Correct me if I am wrong but my understanding was that there is no push to get rid of brokers but to change the way they are paid for their services. Instead of being paid by the banks in a very opaque system, they would be paid by the customer for work actually done without trailing fees and royalt...

Re: The first cold day of the year!

Correct Tas-man! :-) I just don't like the crowds in summer, plus the hot cloudless days are crap for fishing, plus I really don't like/can't physically handle warm/hot weather. My favourite days are those in mid-late autumn, when you get a glassy-still day and the water is crystal-clear, and there...

Re: VHF radio info for the tuna/kingy chasers

One of the things I learned during the VHF radio AWQ course was that VHF marine repeater network along the Victorian Coast has gone live :yahoo: . Attached is a link to a map of the VHF channels and repeater locations along the Victorian coast. https://vicradiozone.files.wordpress.com/2017/12/vhf-m...

Re: Kayak transport - bow/stern tie downs?

Hi Clint, Extra tie downs are never a bad idea, the front is security under acceleration and the rear under emergency braking. Even if you aren't using front and rear ties you can loop the centre straps trough a handle or scupper to help prevent a wet hull squeezing out from underneath the straps l...

Re: Foxes in your neighborhood

Hit one at 100km/h. Split it in half, 4k of damage to the car (Subaru Liberty), blood and guts literally everywhere like it was blown up by a bomb. That one wasn't so smart and cunning Not so sure about that he didn't have to reach into his pocket.  I reckon I have seen more foxes in bui...

Good fish needs nothing to enhance it....but if you have to eat S#!^ fish then the more powerful the added flavour the better (Garlic, onion, chilli)
