Sorry for all the questions.
I'm hoping to get out for my first paddle this weekend and I know that the area I am going is generally chock block full of yaks.
Are there any yak etiquettes that I need to observe?
Like minimum distance from another yak, right of way on ramps etc??

Re: Are drift anchors worth it
Probably a dumb question but should you have both? I was under the impression that you can choose between one type or the other - what a newb!!When its gusty, anchor out the back, drift chute out the front, stops you swinging at anchor.

Are drift anchors worth it
Hi all.
I am thinking of getting a Drift Anchor for my kayak.
Are they worth having? Are there any benefits or disadvantages?

YIKES!!
I don't actually want to go too far out from the shore. What is a safe distance for my Scout?

Re: Newbie in Altona
This is an interesting tip that I hadn't even considered. What are some of the limitations of the short yak? I think it is only 3m?limitations of a short yak even (especially) off Altona

Newbie in Altona
Hi VYakkers!! After a lot of umming and ahhing, and chatting to the team at aquayak I finally bought my first kayak; the scout. I'm in Altona so I can't wait to get out there and get some good fishing in. If you have any advice for a newbie who is a crap fisherman as well, that'd be great! Cheers!
